Note: On December 1965, the UNITAS, a quarterly scholar review of the University of Santo Tomas published a collection of papers on psychology that are presently an embodiment of literature in both Philippine Psychology and Filipino Psychology. The quarterly journal is consisted of 13 articles, three reports, one book review, index of volume 38 and a sworn statement. The total of pages is from 477-636, excluding the table of contents.

The Anatomy of Philippine Psychology: Rethinking Filipino Psychology in UST.

ABSTRACT

Even before there was a Philippine Psychology and Sikolohiyang Pilipino, scholars in UST have started teaching and practicing psychology. The aim of this paper is to review the papers that were published in the UNITAS (see above)almost four decades that have passed. These papers in psychology have contributed in the development of Philippine Psychology and Sikolohiyang Pilipino literature. The paper also accounts a brief history of Psychology and the establishment, curricula and trends of teaching Filipino Psychology at the University of Santo Tomas. Some insights and recommendations are given for further strengthening the teaching of Filipino Psychology in UST.
